Saturday February 24, 2024 (8am to 12pm)
 
Dive into the basics of woodworking and spend time in the shop with me. We'll go over everything you need to get started in woodworking and explore the tools and techniques of the trade. If you're not a beginner, you'll enjoy the experience and I gurantee you'll learn something new!  You'll get a hands on experience in the shop exploring many different powertools and handtools that I use on a daily basis.
 
Bring your questions and we'll discuss as a small group of like minded people.
 
Tour and discover many different power tools and how they all work together to build items.
 
Use many different handtools and experience what "sharp" means and why that's a critical step in woodworking.
 
Explore the creative world of woodworking without the pressure of a project needing to be built within the timeline.
 
Overall, the goal of this experience is to be a springboard into the wonderful and creative world of woodworking. I want you to walk away inspired, gain knowledge and appreciation for the craft. Meet someone that shares a passion of yours and build a great foundation on your journey into the craft.
 
Snacks will be provided, please let me know of any food allergies. 
 
Minimum of 4 students, maximum of 8. If class isn’t filled by Wednesday Feb. 21, refunds will be given out or a rain check if desired. Refunds/Cancellations will not be given after Wednesday Feb. 21.
 
This is a hands-on class however not a project based class, you will not leave with a physical item. 
 
Class Location- James Wesley Furniture, 3550 N. 127th St. E Wichita, KS. 67226. Down a long driveway in the red barn. Please park on the pavement and not in the grass.
